Welcome to the Harpool Middle School Counseling Services website! We are here to serve students and their families.

As professional counselors in the school setting, we are dedicated to helping our students develop academically, emotionally, and socially. In this capacity, we work with students individually and in groups. We also work with parents, teachers, and administrators to provide a stimulating environment in which our students can reach their highest potential.

Parents/Guardians, please complete the form below for counselors to be able to assist your student during the 25-26 school year.

Services

The Denton ISD comprehensive counseling and social work program includes 4 Domains:

  • Guidance Curriculum: Transferable daily skills for living that align with the Denton ISD Social and Emotional Essential 8 topics. School counselors work with educators to integrate guidance lessons into the curriculum.
  • Individual Planning: School counselors collaborate with students to create academic and career plans, setting goals and identifying steps to achieve them. This approach fosters a sense of responsibility and self-direction in students as they actively participate in shaping their educational journey.
  • Responsive Services: Prevention and intervention services for immediate concerns impacting the educational, personal, career and social development of all students. This could include individual or group counseling sessions to address issues such as personal crisis, conflict resolution and emotional well-being.
  • Systems Support: Supports all stakeholders, such as staff, parents, and the community, in promoting the academic, social and emotional development of all students.
